Embroidery is not only a way of expressing creativity and hand-eye coordination; it also has a universe of meanings about care, love, and empathy.
In this workshop, participants will acquire knowledge of the basics of embroidery techniques and become interested in collective embroidery as a way to tell their own stories, and narrate their self-identification.
Claudia Cano is a multidisciplinary artist with broad experience in teaching children and adults a very diverse list of art subjects, including photography, printmaking, drawing, painting, and performance.
