Printmaking is the art of creating and replicating an image through pressing onto an inked surface. Monotype sticks out in its exquisite painterly qualities and its namesake of creating a mono – or single print!
In this workshop, Monotype: Painterly Printmaking, will be an introduction to monotypes using non-toxic, water-based inks. Students will learn how to pull 8 x 10 prints using the etching press and by hand.
Nhuy Reid is a San Deigo based Artist and printmaker who specializes in relief and intaglio printmaking. Utilizing traditional methods of printmaking, all of her prints are created by hand and are produced in limited edition series.
