Printmaking is the art of creating and replicating an image through pressing onto an inked surface. Monotype sticks out in its exquisite painterly qualities and its namesake of creating a mono - or single print! In this workshop, Monotype: Painterly Printmaking, will be an introduction to monotypes using non-toxic, water-based inks. Students will learn how to pull 8 x 10 prints using the etching press and by hand.
