“I do not want art for a few any more than I want education for a few or freedom for a few.”
All children need the opportunity to develop creative problem solving, and the vocabulary and tools to appreciate and create art. Creativity is the #1 attribute sought by today’s employers. Ongoing art making in schools increases:
- Academic achievement
- School attendance
- College readiness
What Your Donation Provides
Our two major expenses include people and art supplies. People make our program work. Without artists, our art supplies would remain unused. Our program manager and executive director create bonds with schools and the community. Our art supplies provide the materials for children to blossom into artists. Here are samples of what your donation dollars fund.
$7 links one student with a practicing artist/engaging lesson/art materials
$20 5 sets of oil pastels
$100 16 sets of watercolors
$240 1 Teaching Artist Day
$600 1 Teaching Day – 3 to 4 classes, up to 160 students
$6,000 30 classes of free art instruction at an elementary school that otherwise has no resources for visual arts education
