ArtReach administers high-quality, visual fine arts programs for teens, with a focus on programs for middle and high schools that serve significant numbers of at-risk and low-income students. Using relevant contemporary and local artists as inspiration, ArtReach fosters a personal connection between youth and expressive artworks. Using the art as a catalyst, teens will engage in conversation that leads into fine art technique building and creative project planning. Journaling and collaboration are pillars of the program, with each project leading to a final collaborative display for installation at a school site or youth center.
From a hallway of migrating birds inspired by immigration to a carved linoleum fingerprint banner inspired by carbon footprints, ArtReach will engage in relevant discussion and expression revolving around subjects that face the future of our youth.
