Iris Rain is an interdisciplinary artist who focuses on fiber arts, drawing, painting, art history, and animation. She received her BFA in Animated Arts from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon in 2015.
Iris has been a teaching artist at the New Children’s Museum in San Diego for the last several years and has facilitated art workshops, drop-in studio sessions, and community events. They specialize in the intersection of art and ecology and have previously been a NATuralist Volunteer at the SD Natural History Museum, a Migratory Birds Day Educator at the Columbia Slough Watershed, and an Art & Ecology Instructor at Saturday Academy in Portland. She is passionate about helping children plant the seeds of a personal creative practice that can continue to bloom throughout their lives.
