Youth ArtReach Studio is our newest branch of art opportunities in the San Diego community that provides quality art workshops and lessons for youth aged 6-18. Y.A.S. workshops are hosted at ArtReach Studio HQ throughout the year and serve as a dedicated space specifically for youth and their guardians.
Each workshop is developed and led by our staff of Teaching Artists which will enrich and nurture young artists’ skills and creativity in a studio space with endless art materials at their disposal. Each lesson focuses on art processes and material exploration through relative and contemporary art practices. Each young artist will walk away with a finished piece, a newly learned technique, and an expanded understanding of the visual arts.
Youth ArtReach Studio offers two workshops for youth based on age group: Y.A.S. Family and Y.A.S. Teen. See below for more details on each.
Y.A.S. Family
Saturday morning make-and-take workshops for families. You will learn and create artwork together with instruction from our staff of Teaching artists. Workshop curriculum features age-accessible mediums and techniques such as drawing, painting, and mixed media arts.

- 18 seats // Participants can sign up for workshops as they are announced
- $15 // Adult tickets (1 minimum required)
- $5 // Youth tickets (1 minimum required)
Y.A.S. Teen
Friday evening workshops for Teens. You can hang out, learn new art processes, and explore new mediums for self-expression from our staff of Teaching Artists. Curriculum features mediums such as printmaking, wearable art, zines, collage, and other process-based arts.

- Ages 13-18 // Guardian not required, but welcome

- 18 seats // Participants can sign up for workshops as they are announced
- $10 // Youth tickets (1 minimum required)
