Save the date for May 7 as ArtReach unveils a youth art exhibition, immersive installations, and a newly transformed community backlot.

MARCH 7, 2026

ArtReach is excited to announce Golden Hour: Made in SD, a joyful community fundraiser celebrating youth creativity across San Diego County. The event will take place on Thursday, May 7, inviting supporters, families, artists, and community members to gather for an evening of art, connection, and creative expression.

Golden Hour will feature a youth art exhibition with immersive installations built from artwork created in ArtReach’s school and studio programs, showcasing the imagination and voices of young artists across the region. Guests will experience interactive displays and creative moments that highlight the impact of accessible visual arts education.

In addition to the exhibition, the evening will include music, food, a photobooth, raffle prizes, and engaging art activities for guests of all ages. ArtReach’s team is currently developing interactive art stations designed to invite attendees to create, explore, and connect through hands-on artistic experiences.

The event will also mark an exciting milestone for ArtReach with the dedication of a new mural and the unveiling of our studio’s reimagined backlot play area. The outdoor space is currently undergoing a vibrant transformation that will include a large-scale mural, new shade areas, landscaping, and welcoming gathering spaces designed to support creativity, play, and community programming for years to come.

“This event allows us to open our doors and share the heart of ArtReach with the community. Guests will see the creativity of young people across San Diego and meet the Teaching Artists who are helping inspire that creativity every day. Golden Hour is a new way for us to celebrate the impact of accessible arts education and the people who make it possible,” said Sarah Holbach, Executive Director of ArtReach.

Pay-what-you-can tickets will be available, with proceeds supporting free and low-cost visual arts programs for young people across San Diego County. ArtReach’s work focuses on expanding access to high-quality arts education, particularly for youth in under-resourced communities.

Additional event details, including ticket registration and program highlights, will be announced in the coming weeks! For updates, visit artreachsandiego.org or follow @artreachsd on social media.
