Esteban Sánchez joined ArtReach in 2023 as Mural Program Coordinator, bringing a decade of experience in arts and education. He holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing Management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has contributed to youth-centered arts programs including the Youth Arts Collective and Palenke Arts in Monterey. Since joining ArtReach, Esteban has led the design and execution of more than 10 large-scale school and community murals, each grounded in collaboration, creativity, and community voice.
In his role, Esteban supports the logistical coordination of mural projects and leads the design of many ArtReach murals, translating youth and community input into vibrant, meaningful works of public art. With years of experience working with young people, Esteban develops and facilitates dynamic, hands-on workshops that introduce students to mural arts history, design and composition, and ArtReach’s collaborative process. Through these workshops, he gathers ideas directly from students and thoughtfully weaves their voices into his original designs, sparking creativity and ownership, especially for students engaging with mural-making for the first time.
Esteban also leads ArtReach signature Community Paint Days, sometimes with groups of up to 200 participants, creating inclusive and joyful opportunities for people of all ages to contribute to public art. He specializes in documenting each project and produces video content for social media that highlights the impact of the work. Outside of ArtReach, Esteban enjoys producing music, cheering on the San Francisco Giants, and spending quality time with his family.
