Open Call for Youth Art
February 1 - April 5
ArtReach is seeking youth artists (aged 5-18) to submit a mini-masterpiece for an upcoming Youth Art Show. Each mini masterpiece created for this open call should be exactly 6 inches wide by 6 inches tall, following the prompt, “Where do your dreams take you?” Young artists are encouraged to explore their expressive side and cultivate their imagination, fostering self-awareness. Following Social-Emotional Learning practices, this creative activity delves into the landscapes of dreams, helping enhance an understanding of aspirations and contributing to emotional intelligence.
All donated pieces will be for sale at Mission Fed Artwalk, with 100% of the proceeds helping support ArtReach’s mission of igniting youth creativity through visual arts expression and community connection. The community will vote on select prizes, including the most creative use of color, best composition, crowd favorite, and more.
Artwork is due by April 5, 2024, and may be mailed to ArtReach HQ or hand-delivered during office hours, Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. Attention to: Anna Laroque, 2399 Fifth Ave, San Diego, CA, 92101.
